NudgeNote is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the mobile application NudgeNote (the "App").

Our Privacy Commitment

NudgeNote is designed with privacy at its core. I do not collect, store, or have access to your personal data. All information stays on your device.

Information We Don't Collect

I want to be clear about what NudgeNote DOESN'T do:

  • Doesn't collect your contacts
  • Doesn't store your messages
  • Doesn't track your location
  • Doesn't access your nudge schedules
  • Doesn't collect analytics or usage data
  • Doesn't use third-party analytics services
  • Doesn't show ads or work with advertisers

Information Storage

All data created and used by NudgeNote is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:

  • Contact groups you create
  • Nudge schedules and settings
  • Message templates
  • App preferences

This data is:

  • Stored only on your device
  • Backed up through your iCloud backup (if enabled)
  • Never transmitted to any servers
  • Never accessible by me or anyone else

Permissions We Request

Contacts Access

The app requests access to your contacts solely to allow you to:

  • Select contacts for your nudge groups
  • Display contact names and photos in the app

Important: The app only reads from your contacts. It never modifies them or uploads them anywhere.

Notifications

The app requests notification permissions to:

  • Send you local nudge reminders
  • Alert you when it's time to reach out to someone

All notifications are generated locally on your device. We don't use push notifications from a server.

In-App Purchases

NudgeNote Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. When you make a purchase:

  • Payment is handled entirely by Apple
  • We only receive a transaction receipt to unlock premium features
  • We don't store credit card or payment information
  • Apple's privacy policy governs payment processing

Third-Party Services

NudgeNote uses minimal third-party services:

Apple Services

  • StoreKit: For in-app purchases
  • SwiftData: For local data storage
  • CloudKit: For iCloud backup (if you have it enabled)

NudgeNote doesn't use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Security

Your data security is ensured by:

  • All data stored locally on your device
  • iOS built-in security features
  • No data transmission to external servers
  • No account system that could be compromised

Children's Privacy

NudgeNote is not directed to children under 13. The app doesn't collect information from anyone, including children. The app has a 4+ age rating as it contains no objectionable content.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored on your device, you have complete control:

  • Access: View all your data within the app
  • Modify: Edit or delete any information
  • Delete: Remove the app to delete all associated data
  • Export: Use iOS backup to transfer data to a new device

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be communicated by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Posting a notice in the app
  • Sending a notification (with your permission)
